Outgoing Messages
This service can be run directly from your website, usually from a secure area, and linked to a database of contacts, allowing you to keep clients or employees updated with important information quickly and easily.
Some possible uses for online SMS: *
- Remind clients and customers of appointments
- Send Birthday greetings to customers for that personal touch
- Update sales reps with important information. i.e. changes in stock availability
- Inform employees of business success and thank them for their involvement
- General promotional messages
Incoming Messages
Part of this service allows you to rent a virtual number, which allows your contacts to reply to your messages, which you can then process automatically via your website. Messages can be stored, sorted and retrieved all through a custom web interface.
Costs
- There is a once-off setup fee of $20, which includes 200 free messages
- There are no contracts to sign, no minimum monthly spends, just a low per-message rate of 16c. Lower rates are available for high volume users.
- Costs for renting a virtual number include an $85 setup fee and a monthly fee of $20.
* Opt-Out Obligations
If you are sending SMS messages to a group of people as part of a marketing campaign, or for any automated service or purpose, you are required by Australian Privacy Law to inform the user regularly of the ability to opt-out of your system, with instructions on how to do this.
We recommend you do this after every third message that is sent to an individual recipient.
